Rehearse the conversation you have been avoiding

A prompt to try
I want to practice a difficult conversation in a safe role-play. First ask who I want to speak with, what it is about and what a good outcome would look like. I do not need to give real names. Ask only for important missing information. Then play a plausible version of the other person: one short statement per round, followed by a pause for my reply. Do not assume the real person’s thoughts or motives. Start with an open response and later practice a respectful objection. After three rounds, pause: show one sentence of mine that was clear and one that might be misunderstood. Give two natural-sounding alternatives that preserve my boundary. No manipulation or winning at all costs. When I say “stop”, end the role-play and summarize a suitable opening for the conversation.
